MEET THE FULL FRONTAL FOLK
TINA MORRISON (owner and director):  Tina began her improv
career in 1989 with Laughing Stock.  She went on to perform with
Caught in the Act before founding
Full Frontal Comedy in 1998.  With
250+ shows to her credit, Tina loves exploring new improv formats with
her wonderful friends.  Outside of improv her favorite roles include
Shelby in "Steel Magnolias", Joanne in "A Few Good Men", and Marty
Tifter in "Talking With".  By day Tina works on the administrative
parts of
FFC and is mother to the beautiful Abby Jean.  Her favorite
parts of
FFC include the Uthe Leap, "Seasons of Bush", and performing
with her incredibly talented and supportive husband, Joel.  Tina misses
Bob Hart!
DAVE MARTIN (assistant director):  Dave has been doing the improv
thing for a while now as this is his 15th season with
Full Frontal Comedy;
his 11th as an assistant director.  He keeps coming back season after
season because doing improv is the most fun you can have on stage
(except one unfortunate incident in the past involving Spam).  He also
finds time to do the occasional book show.  Some of his favorites of that
ilk include "The Shape of Things," "1776," and "Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat."  Of course, these time commitments pale in
comparison to his personal life which recently added a Mrs. Martin.  Dave
was happily married to Christina last September and is still happy today.
Now that she has joined the ranks of
FFC, he's super happy to get to
combine his two favorite things.  Dave also likes Jim Beam.
BILL CASE:  Bill is an adolescent trapped in the body of a 43 year old
computer geek.  He's been doing improv for roughly 10 or 11 years
(sometimes rougher than others).  He's married to the foxy and
talented Stasha Case.  Bill would like to apologize in advance to anyone
who sees him dance in a show.  Oh the horror . . . the horror.
JOYCE HALFORD:  Joyce is one of the original members of FFC.  She has now done
over 100 shows.  After being pulled into the improv world kicking and screaming and
begging for a script, she has since learned that flying by the seat of your pants can be
tremendously fun, exhilarating, and the closest thing to a near death experience she
can imagine.  Joyce has been involved in community theatre for many,  many years.  Her
favorite all-time roles include M’Lynn in “Steel Magnolias,” Dr. Livingston in “Agnes of
God,” Emily in “The Marriage of Bette and Boo,” Chris in “Rumors,” and Artie in
“Eleemosynary.”  She also directs and serves as a board member for the Bell Road Barn
in Parkville .  She has been married, forever, to a truly great guy named Ken.  She has
two teenage sons, Ryan and Michael, who are also really great.  And she has a neurotic
dog named Ginger who is probably chewing something she shouldn’t at this very moment!
See Joyce is OCTA's production of "Rabbit Hole" (directed by FFC's Shelly Stewart)
this November.
JAMES HILBURN:  James is a 13-year veteran of the Kansas City improv scene,
cutting his baby teeth with Tina & Shelly in the – ahem – early nineties in his first
group: Laughing Stock and then parlaying that experience to become a founding  member
of The Hypothetical Seven (based out of Lawrence, KS) in the – ‘oh boy am I getting’
old’ – mid-nineties.  He’s excited to be working with the heavy-impact-power-comedy-
force that is
Full Frontal Comedy and taking part in the systematic comedic slaying of
audiences citywide.  In his civilian life, James works in advertising and enjoys honing
his comedic chops on his wife and new baby.
DAN HILLAKER:  Dan is just plain ecstatic to be in Full Frontal.  This is his third season with
the troupe.  Dan is an actor by trade, he has worked at the Kansas City Rep ("To Kill a Mockingbird"
and "The Drawer Boy"), The Heart of America Shakespeare Festival ("Othello") and swore like a
sailor in the Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre’s "American Buffalo".  And just to balance it out, he
joined the StoneLion Puppet Theatre as well working for the Coterie Theatre ("A Separate Peace").
Dan will also be appearing at the Coterie again this fall in “And Then They Came for Me:
Remembering the World of Anne Frank”. Dan is a graduate of Benedictine College where he received
his B.A. in Theatre, English and History (and he made it out on time).
CAROLYN LAY:  Carolyn started out with Full Frontal Comedy at the ripe old age of 18.  She
has taken the odd break here and there, mostly to try out the whole “college experience,”
during which she tried her hand at directing her own fledgling improv troupe “Shennanigans.”
Improvising is just about Carolyn's very favorite thing to do in this entire world, except for
maybe spending time with her fiance, her cats and her rats.  (Yes she has rats, no she doesn't
let them play together.)  Carolyn would like to thank her favorite, Dustin, her Mom and Dad
for the whole "raising me" thing, and her brother for keeping her humble by constantly
reminding her she's a dork.
JOEL MORRISON (music guy and performer): Joel plays keyboard and guitar for Full Frontal
Comedy,
and tries to refrain from making out with the director.  She’s hot!  He also performs on
stage occasionally with the troupe.  He is sometimes seen in  community theatre venues in Kansas
City .  Some past favorite roles include Cain/Japheth in “Children of Eden” and Tony in “West
Side Story” at the Lewis and Shirley White Theatre at the JCC, Joe Sutter in “The Spitfire
Grill” at the Chestnut Fine Arts Center, and Joseph in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor
Dreamcoat” at the Chestnut and at The Theatre In The Park.  By day, Joel works for IndyMac
Bank doing things with numbers.  He sends lots of love to his beautiful daughter, Abby.

KATE HAUGAN:  Kate plays accordion, does crossword puzzles, and has high
anxiety for which she does not take medication.  This is her first season with
FFC
but is not new to improvisation as she was a member of the notoriously hilarious
Blue Valley North Comedy Troupe from 1994-1998.  Kate recently relocated back to
KC after a 4-year stint in New York City where she worked in a restaurant and as
an art department assistant for a couple of Discovery Channel shows.  Currently
Kate is working in development and occasionally plays her accordion around town
with her band, Minstrel Periods (formerly known as Carne Rosa).

December 12 & 13
KEVIN HERSHBERGER (co-music guy):  Kevin is simultaneously intrigued and
terrified at the prospect of actually doing improv in front of a paying audience so he is
delighted to get to serve in an accompanying capacity in which he hopes some of the
talent of his amazing fellow troupe members will rub off on him.  Most recently Kevin
music directed "Little Me" and is currently music directing "The Philadelphia Story",
both for OCTA.  He’s been seen on various stages around the metro in such shows as
"Oklahoma!", "Forever Plaid", "Once Upon a Mattress", and "Urinetown".   Big 10Q’s to
Tina and Joel for having him over!
Christina's upcoming FFC shows:
October 3 & 4, 10 & 11
December 12 & 13
CHRISTINA SCHAFER MARTIN:  Christina is thrilled to be performing with the amazingly
talented cast of
Full Frontal Comedy, and especially excited to be doing a(nother) show with her
delightful husband.  Though new to the exhilarating world of improvisation, Christina is no stranger
to the stage.  Recent roles include Evelyn in "The Shape of Things", Maggie in "Lend Me a Tenor",
Anna in "Closer", and Lorraine in "The Man Who Came to Dinner".  Look for Christina in November in
"The Crucible" with
Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre!  Love to Dave and thanks to Charlie and Loki
for being constant sources of amusement and affection.
Kevin's upcoming FFC shows:
October 3, 4, 10, & 11
